Whilst Bansko is now emerging as an excellent all year resort
it really comes alive in winter. Housing the best and the
most modern ski centre of all Bulgarian ski resorts, Bansko
boasts the best snow record and the longest ski season also.
The High season allows Skiing and Boarding from Mid December
to Mid May. Snow cannons cover 50% of the pistes for added
insurance making skiing guaranteed.
The town of Bansko is 925m a.s.l and the highest peak is
2600 metres a.s.l. The Gondola (of which the furthest apartment
away is only 250metres) links the town to the foot of the
mountains. A state of the art Gondola station and electronic
pass system means that 2400 people an hour can be carried
up the mountains in the 8 man cabins.
The Gondola is not just available to Ski-ers and Snow Boarders,
but also to anyone who just wants to sample the breath taking
views and clear mountain air. Experience the ride between
snow covered pine trees, then sit with a book in front of
a log fire in the many mountain restaurants.
Après ski can be enjoyed in many of the bars and
nightclubs, particularly the ‘Happy End' bar right next
to the Gondola Station.
Bansko has 65km of Ski runs, and has plans to increase this
to 200km in the forthcoming years. Bansko offers fantastic
skiing and boarding to enthusiasts of all abilities.
Beginners - 5 blue run
IIntermediates - 8 red runs
Experts -1 black run, Fun Park, Half Pipe and plenty of
off piste-ing available
The longest run is 16km. The last 6km of this is down the
ski road back into the town, which is an alternative to
catching the Gondola back into the town. Beginners will
particularly enjoy the gentle decent to learn new skills
or intermediates to brush up before taking to the main slopes

Bansko offers excellent facilities for children from the
age of 4 to the age of 7. The Kindergarten club is situated
at the foot of mountain next to the Gondola drop off point.
Here you can feel assured that your children will be looked
after safely at all times by English speaking instructors.
While you ski they can enjoy instructor guided lessons and
games, lunch and Bansko Junior Ski club membership.
We appreciate that not everyone in your party will want
to ski, which is why our apartments come with many other
leisure facilities. However the mountains also offer fabulous
opportunities also
Toboggans can be purchased from many
of the shops in the town. Take these in the Gondola and
sledge your way back down the 6km ski road. The nursery
slopes can also be used for sledging
Relax, Eat and Drink. Again take the
Gondola up the mountain then relax in one the restaurants
and bars, by a log fire with a hot chocolate or glass of
wine. Food is served until the Lifts stop working (approximately
4:30pm). Sit and read a book and wait till your more active
family and friends are ready to meet up!!
Walk. Catch the Gondola up the mountain
and enjoy the scenery and fresh mountain air. Walk back down
the 6km Ski road or venture into the pine trees and find your
own path back down to the town. |
